Job Description:

Tech Partners in Tulsa is partnering with a growing Security Integration company to hire a Security Systems Technician/Programmer. This role focuses on system configuration, programming, updates, and customer-facing technical support across Access Control, Security Systems, and Camera/Video platforms. This is not a cabling or installation role.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to diagnose and resolve issues both independently and with vendor support teams. This is an important position supporting both internal installation teams and external clients.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for Access Control, Security Systems, and Camera devices.
  • Configure, program, and update systems, controllers, devices, and software.
  • Provide remote and onsite support for system failures, connectivity issues, credential problems, and hardware/software faults.
  • Partner with vendors and manufacturer technical support teams to resolve escalations.
  • Support installation crews by handling advanced technical work (not cable pulling).
  • Document work performed, system changes, and recommendations.
  • Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams, ensuring timely follow-up and service delivery.

Required Experience

  • Hands-on experience supporting Access Control, Security/Intrusion Systems, and CCTV/Camera systems.
  • Experience configuring, programming, or commissioning security devices or controllers.
  • Strong troubleshooting capability across hardware, software, and networking basics (IP devices, connectivity, PoE, switches, etc.).
  • Ability to work directly with clients in a professional, customer-focused manner.
  • Experience working with vendors/manufacturers for technical support and issue resolution.
  • Not suited for recent graduates or candidates pursuing a traditional IT helpdesk or desktop support career path.

Compensation & Structure

  • Compensation typically ranges $45K–$60K, depending on experience.
  • Open to full-time, part-time, or contract-to-hire structures.
  • Hourly or salaried options are available based on candidate preference and experience level.
